EL JARDIN
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Gardenia Miramontes, I’m a Mexican-American lifestyle photographer based out of La Grande, Oregon. As a primarily natural light shooter you’ll usually find me outside, chasing sunsets and basking in evening light (my favorite time of day). On my free time I love going on hikes with my two pitties, Kilo and Radar, paddle boarding on the lake and spending time with family and friends.
I’ve had a love for photography ever since I picked up my first camera, a plastic hello kitty film camera from Toys R Us, at 7 years old. Its a passion that has been growing ever since and has become El Jardin. The name was inspired by my childhood and my dad always referring to me and my two sisters (also named after flowers) as su Jardin. El Jardin means The Garden. My dad has always loved flowers and gardening, which if my giant jungle at home is any indication, he has passed on down to me.
Primarily I shoot portraits, couples and elopements but also have a broad spectrum of art I like to create through photographs. You’ll also find that I don’t have a set style or color palette, my instagram is not smooth or concise but the beautiful part is that neither are the humans (sometimes dogs, cats etc.) in front of my camera. Every session will have a unique style all based around our experience together. My goal is to capture who you are/who or what you’d like to be. Even if its your first time in front of the camera I strive to provide an open, safe, comfortable, and inspiring space to let you be yourself without judgment or expectations.
